The cold comes in from the north and the snow has settled on the peaks. A red deer stag moves through it without urgency, entirely at ease in the landscape that shaped it, while a golden eagle reads the thermals in wide, patient circles. These two animals have shared this landscape for thousands of years without needing to make a fuss about it. The Highlands simply are: shaped by forces older than any of the names we have given them. This tea is made for people who like their landscape with no shortcuts and no apologies.

FROM THE PLANET

Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe black tea (Camellia sinensis) brews faster and stronger than whole leaf grades without compromising on character. The natural alcohol-free whisky flavouring is derived from organic natural sources that replicate the woody, peaty depth of a Highland single malt. Research associates the high concentration of theaflavins and catechins in this grade with gut microbiome support and sustained mental clarity. Safflower petals (Carthamus tinctorius) are valued in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic practice for their anti-inflammatory and circulatory properties.

INGREDIENTS

Black tea (Camellia sinensis), safflower petals, organic natural flavours. No allergens from the UK 14 major allergen list present. Produced in a facility that handles nuts and various botanical ingredients.

HOW TO BREW

Water temperature: 95 to 100 degrees C. Freshly boiled. Quantity: 1 heaped teaspoon per cup, approximately 2.5g. Steep time: 3 to 5 minutes. Takes a splash of milk well, or goes beautifully black for the full malt character. A single measure will give you three cups at around 80 percent strength.
