Full-bodied without being heavy and clean enough to drink straight or with milk: it is the tea that holds everything together without making a fuss about it.

The light changes at dawn. It always does, whatever the season, whatever the city. The amber comes in low across the rooftops and for twenty minutes everything looks like a painting of itself. FROM THE PLANET

Sri Lankan Ceylon from the highland estates of Nuwara Eliya, Dimbula, and Uva is grown at up to 8,500 feet where cooler air produces a naturally bright and floral character. Black tea, or Camellia sinensis, contains theaflavins and thearubigins: which are antioxidant compounds formed during oxidation. Research associates these with cardiovascular support, gut health, and sustained mental energy. The medium caffeine level gives a focused start without the sharper edge of higher caffeine varieties.

INGREDIENTS

Black tea (Camellia sinensis). No allergens from the UK 14 major allergen list present. Produced in a facility that handles nuts and various botanical ingredients.

HOW TO BREW

Water temperature: 95 to 100 degrees C. Freshly boiled. Quantity: 1 heaped teaspoon per cup, approximately 2.5g. Steep time: 3 to 5 minutes. Brew at around 80 percent strength and a single measure will give you three cups. Takes milk beautifully.
