THE COFFEE

A light roast Kenya AA single origin from the Aberdare Highlands. Vivid wild blackcurrant notes arrive first, bright and unmistakable. The finish softens into warm vanilla and milk chocolate, providing a gentle landing for a bean with a great deal to say. This selection offers a full, complex profile that challenges the assumption that light roasts lack body.

THE SAVANNA

Twigatunda means Gentle Giant in Swahili, and the Giraffe earns that name without effort. The tallest animal on earth moves across the East African savanna with a slow, unhurried grace. It has been part of the Kenyan landscape for generations, browsing the tops of acacia trees that no other animal can reach and quietly occupying a niche that belongs entirely to it. Kenya AA coffee occupies a similar position in the world of specialty coffee. The terroir of the Aberdare Highlands and the careful processing by Kenyan cooperative farmers produce a bean that is defined by its own singular characteristics.

FROM THE PLANET

Kenya AA refers to the largest, heaviest beans produced by Kenyan farms, grown at altitude in the Aberdare range where cool mountain air slows the maturation of the coffee cherry. This deliberate development concentrates natural sugars and fruit acids, producing the extraordinary blackcurrant and berry brightness that makes Kenyan coffee famous among specialty buyers worldwide. Light roasting preserves those delicate fruit notes and the high natural acidity that defines Kenyan Arabica. Studies suggest that the high anthocyanin content and chlorogenic acids found in high-altitude Kenyan beans may support cardiovascular health and provide a natural, sustained lift. Kenyan coffee cooperatives are among the most ethically organised in Africa, ensuring farmers receive a transparent share of the final price.

Circular thinking: your caddy is built to be refilled. When the coffee runs out, the artwork stays. Order a refill pouch and keep going. Your packaging choice matters to us so we offer two options: certified home compostable pouches that break down naturally in 10 to 12 weeks, or our I'm Green recyclable pouches made from sugarcane. Both are better than single use. Neither belongs in landfill. Everything else in your order, from the tissue paper to the tape, is either compostable or recyclable.
