In Ojibwe tradition, the dreamcatcher was hung at the threshold of sleep to hold what needed holding and let through what was worth keeping. The web does the work. The feathers carry what remains down, slowly, into rest. The sky here sits at the hour that has no clean name: not quite dusk, not yet night. The blue deepens at the edges and the rose-gold is still warm at the centre. The heart in the web is not decoration. FROM THE PLANET
Whole chamomile buds, sourced from Egypt's Nile Delta and the flowering plains of Hungary, contain bisabolol and chamazulene, the naturally occurring compounds that give Matricaria chamomilla its characteristic depth and its long association with calm and sleep. Studies suggest chamomile's flavonoid content supports nervous system relaxation and may reduce the time taken to fall asleep. Lavender, cultivated across the Pyrenean foothills and Bulgaria's Thracian Valley, contains linalyl acetate, the ester compound responsible for its distinctively soft, sweet floral character and its studied association with reduced heart rate and anxiety response. Linden flowers (Tilia cordata), harvested from the Carpathian forests of Eastern Europe, contain tiliroside, a flavonoid glycoside with a long documented history in European botanical medicine, traditionally used for nervous system support and its gentle sedative effect on the body at rest. Blue mallow (Malva sylvestris), sourced from the Mediterranean and North Africa, gives the blend its naturally deep colour and a gentle mucilaginous quality that soothes the finish. Traditionally used in Egyptian and Ayurvedic herbal practice for its calming and softening properties, it is the quietest ingredient in the cup and, for those who notice it, the most memorable.

HOW TO BREW
Water temperature: 95 to 100 degrees C. Freshly boiled. Quantity: 1 heaped teaspoon per cup, approximately 2.5g. Steep time: 4 to 5 minutes. Naturally sweet. No sweetener needed. Best in the hour before sleep. Do not drink if you are pregnant.
